Last week we mad e a trip to Strasburg Railroad. It was a large group of us and we had a blast. Tonia, Little Harry, Breydan and AShton came with us, as well as Jamie and Madelyn and Grandma Dot.

THe kids had a good time on the train. For most of them it was their first train ride. It was a little hot, but it was worth the trip.

Alica, Emily, Breydan and Madelyn had a good time pushing themelves along on a little train track. I bet their arms were tired afterwards, but they looked like they were having fun.

Their was a man who had a monkey with him. The monkey was good at taking quarters from peoples hands. I have to admit we were all impressed with the monkey. The monkey even gave Jamie a kiss.

We all had a great time riding the Rails!!!

"Powerpuff Girls"

Zane and Ethan out for a stroll

I took the kids and went out to Ohio a couple weeks ago to visit my sister and her family. We had so much fun! It was a long drive but it was worth it!!!

Charity was gracious enough to let all of us stay with her. Thats asking alot when you add a family of four into a small 2 bedroom apartment. It was tight but cozy. :)

We did a few day trips. The kids had fun playing together. Zane and Ethan are just getting to the age where they are really aware of each other. It was kind of fun to watch.

Alicia and Emily had so much fun playing with Autumn. We nickmamed them the powerpuff girls.

Family Get Together

My sister, Charity, came out from Ohio last weekend, and we thought it would be alot of fun to get together with our Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. We had not seen some of them in quite a few years. Our family has really grown, and it was so nice to see how much everyone has grown and what additions were made to the family over the years.

Believe it or not my cousins are only a few years older than my own children. Growing up I kind of missed having cousins to play with, but it was great to see my cousins playing with my kids. I

My Grandma Dowling was gracious enough to host a picnic at her home on Saturday. The kids had so much fun playing together. Grandma set up a clothes line with a blanket and the kids "fished" for toys that my Uncle Rob had brought for them. They were all so excited. It is not often that you get to fish for something other than fish. :)

We all had a wonderful time playing wiffle ball too. The Swymers against the Dowlings. We played until it was to dark to see the ball. Even Alicia and Emily had a chance at bat. Grandma had the ball come right to her hands, but it was so dark she couldn't see the ball until it was to late. I think that is when we decided to call it quits. I am not sure of the score but I think the Dowlings did win. :(. -- But it's not every day that the first base man (or woman) plays with a baby on her hip. :)

It really was nice to get together with everyone. Hopefully we won't let as much time go by before we get together again.

Cone Family Picnic

Sunday we all got together at my mother in law's home for a picnic. We all had a wonderful time! The cousins all played in a wading pool that Bud set up for them. They had a great time. It was a lot of fun for the littler ones like Ethan, Ashton and Sarah because it was the first time they could really play together in the pool. Alicia, Emily and Breydon had a good time too. Dot ran the hose for them and they had a great time running through the water and swimming in the pool together. Dave and Chip played baseball with them too. Even Ethan had a chance up at bat. We are definetly a baseball family!! The kids LOVE it!

KIm and Bryan brought over fire crackers, and we had a good time watching them go off after dark. The kids thought it was fantastic. Believe it or not Ethan fell asleep watching them. -I am not sure how because it was pretty loud!

We always have so much fun when we all get together. It is so nice that all the cousins can grow up together. They always look forward to playing together.

Its been Too Long since I wrote in this last. Life just seems to get so busy. Of course summer is almost here. I hope things will slow down a little bit in the Cone household.

Alicia has been playing T-ball. Her team is called the Pirates. She loves it!!! Every day she asks if she has a game. She is making alot of new friends and a few of them will be in her school this fall. Emily also enjoys going to the games because she has made friends with two little girls whose brother plays on Alicia's team. It's nice for me too, because I get to talk to other moms. Yeah!!! Ethan also enjoys coming to the game because he LOVES t-ball. We got him his own little T-ball set and he must play with it for hours a day. He loves to play both T-ball and hockey, and when ever we go to Alicia's games he spends the time hitting the ball around with either a bat or a hockey stick.

This is Alicia's last week of preschool. It sure went by fast. The girls are looking forward to Friday because my sister and her family are coming out from Ohio! Emily asks me everyday if Autumn (cousin) is here yet. (I am starting to regret telling her that she is coming) :)

I'll try and keep this blog updated more often. :)

Emily's Birthday

Saturday we celebrated Emily's 3rd birthday. It was a ton of fun!

She had a couple friends over for a "Princess Tea Party" I had set out all of our princess dress up clothes for the girls to try on and wear during the party. (And boy, do we have alot!) The girls had a great time dressing up and dancing to our Disney Princess CD. After they were done dresssing up we had our Tea Party. The girls each had their own Cinderella tea cups and we served pink lemonade, cupcakes, popcorn and pretzels. The girls had a blast! After that we opened presents and played with all of Emily's gifts.

Of course the party was just beginning because at dinner time we had the whole Cone Clan over. It is always a good time when we get together. Of course with our ever growing family I may need to rent a hall for the next party. :) Emily had a great time, and I think everyone else did too.

Hi,

Heather emailed me a while back and said I should check out her blog. I did and was impressed. So much so, that I decided to start one myself so that I could give updates on my families life as well.

We are a busy family of five. Dave started his on business with Ebay selling video games and movies. Both of us keep very busy with that, but Dave does must of the work. :) We like to say that he works to full time jobs. :)

I am very busy with my kids as well as watch up to five more depending on the day. Thank goodness my sister in law, Tonia comes 3x a week to help out. It is alot of fun and it is soooo nice to have another adult to talk to during the day. The kids love her children, Breydan and Ashton and they all LOVE Miss Tonia. :)

Alicia is my spunky four year old Tomboy. She is always in charge and in the middle of anything and everything. She loves her Daddy and seems to love anything that he does. She loves preschool and is looking forward to starting T-ball in March.

Emily is my little princess. She just turned 3. She is my girly girl. She loves to play dress up, and play with all her babies. She loves music and dancing. She is also the jokester of the family.

Ethan is the "big boy" as he loves to be called. He is all boy too. He turned 1 in January. He just started walking and every day he gets better and into more things. He absolutely loves his big sisters and is always trying to play with them. Sometimes to their chagrin. :)

Well, that is my little family. I hope that everyone will enjoy reading about a quirky lives. :)
